Superior Float Design
The first thing you will notice about Gulf Stream Docks is the size and appearance of the floats. They measure 20 inches by 40 inches – twice the size of other offerings. We offer floats in both 14” and 9” heights. Our full floats feature a clean and subtle non-skid tread pattern that looks great and is easy and safe to walk on. The center channel float is full height and has a smooth, deep channel that gently cradles the hull of a wide variety of keel boats for our drive on applications. All of our floats have six robust connection points that keep the dock stable from side to side yet provide flex from front to back for easy drive on docking. With a .25 inch wall thickness and the highest available U.V. protection, Gulf Stream Docks floats will provide years of rugged and trouble free use.
Other systems use short floats in the center channel that are suspended above the water line and provide little or no buoyancy. Some actually leave floats out of the center channel leaving a dangerous opening in the dock and further reducing buoyancy. Our full height center channel floats provide extra buoyancy and support that helps to keep the dock flatter and drive on docking easier.
Multi-Functional Connecting Pins

Gulf Stream Docks connecting pins are injection molded out of super tough nylon that provides excellent strength and ease of installation. The long connecting pins are 8 inches in length and are used in the interior connection points. The short connecting pins are 5.5 inches in length and are used in the exterior connection points. Both feature heavy-duty gripping ribs and a retaining collar for superior strength to hold the float tabs together.
Unlike any other modular dock system, Gulf Stream Docks connecting pins are specifically designed for mounting accessories and attachments to the dock. The top of the connection pins is designed to receive pipes and tubes for mounting handrails and storage racks and more. The bottom of the connecting pins have a recessed area for mounting ½” stainless steel bolts or nuts, which allows you to secure such things as winch stands and tie down rings. The possibilities are endless to secure anything – benches, dock boxes, cleaning tables, and even structures such as tiki huts or cabanas.
Internal Support Beam & Utility Channel

Another exclusive Gulf Stream Docks’ feature are a series of internal channels that are created in between each row of floats that can be used to secure support beams to form a skeletal structure right inside the dock to provide extra support and buoyancy when needed. These channels can also be used for running water, conduit and other utility lines. The channel will hold pipe or other materials up to 2.375″ in diameter.
Easy On Loading Ramp

Gulf Stream Docks offers the first and only attachable loading ramp that makes drive on docking safer and easier than ever before. This system provides for a wide point of entry that helps to position the boat and a gentle upward sloping surface that guides and raises watercraft up and onto the floating boat lift. Available on select models, it’s perfect for all types of watercraft from PWC’s to larger deep-V boats.
Engineered Post Floats
Others use post floats that look like they were made in a garage, and PVC plumbing pipe post covers that you buy at a home improvement store. Gulf Stream Docks has designed and bult post floats with a sleek and versatile design. Mount them on the front or sides of the dock to secure up to 2.375″ OD pipe. The 5′ molded pole cover bolts onto the post float and provides a great professional finished look.
